  3. PowerMacUser says:

there is a program that lets you view your desktops in a cube for the mac. but this is most def fedora =]

  4. lutoma says:

@Dnangel12332: Lol stupid? For sure this is linux, Mac has no 3D cube -.-

  5. Dnangel12332 says:

    lol dont fall for it
its just a mac the linux on ps3 looks different

  6. DarqueSock says:

it is difficult to convey the other aspects of Linux through a video as a video is inherently visual by nature
but i get where ur comin from

  7. LoloftheRings says:

Too bad that these types of linux preview video’s only show the great graphics of linux (distro). The great thing behind linux is the community, the freedom and the “Linux feeling”. Someone should try to make a vid that DOES show these aspects of linux.

  8. rensorek says:

There are applications for both iTunes and MSN. (If not they can always be run with WINE)

  9. mag1cfabio says:

I prefer Ubuntu but Fedora is good also, I’ve just been using Ubuntu more than Fedora so I know much more about Ubuntu than Fedora. However I’m not saying that Fedora is a bad operating system because it isn’t.

  10. Sonyboj says:

lol No Fedora is based on RedHat <.<

    Says so on the site

  11. bluntknife30 says:

Both are based off Debian so as far as my knowledge goes they’re pretty much the same. although Ubuntu is suposed to be better for someone coming over from windows

  12. linuxdan says:

ho is better fedora or ubuntu

  13. Dojan5 says:

It do run iTunes under Wine, and Pidgin is as good as MSN…
Take a look at my video Codename Bubbles and tell if that looks cartoonish…

  14. Kiakenshi says:

You dont have to buy CD’S you can request a free CD from the site, it takes up to 25 days to arrive but its free and it comes with some free stickers. The only problem I have with linux is how cartooney it looks and that it doesnt run iTunes or MSN.

  15. downhillgames says:

Ubuntu. Fedora has drastically slipped in quality since Fedora Core 6 (9 is coming out soon). April’s release of Ubuntu should have everything you could ever want from FOSS (except KDE 4.1 :) and work nicely. I can’t promise the same for Fedora :P

  16. daisyfoofpoof says:

did u just place the iso file in the cd, or did u use a program to write the files of the iso the the cd? try roxio if u havent done this. (there are many others other than roxio. such as alchohol or cyberlink dvd suite.)

  17. daisyfoofpoof says:

should i get fedora or ubuntu?

  18. Remzx2 says:

can sum1 giv me a url or email me a url to download Fedora Core 6 free

  19. akny007 says:

well, if u have the iso image, you have to burn an IMAGE to the cd.

your normal burner should have an option for that…

if u need help lemme know

  20. spikespeigel says:

ok when u dowload it should say what cd it is

    if its all one disk

    burn it onto a disk..

then in ur BIOS when ur computer first boots up press delete and all that good stuff

then have ur computer boot from cd

and it should start to run/install linux from the disk in your drive…or you can actually buy install disks for like ten bucks or whatever…

  21. Abercr0mbie4life says:

did you burn the disk to be bootable?

  22. Doosandonga says:

can someone help me install ubuntu or any linux? i got the bit torrent now, and i burnt it to a cd. now wat? nothing happens when i put the cd in comp, and its not readable in the [starting] boot menu. do i ‘enter’ on floppy or cd? they both do not work.

  23. JiansongGoogle says:

    nice, but nothing special

  24. yoranyo says:

If you have never tried Linux. Do yourself a favor and install Ubuntu.
    You will thank yourself

  25. felix100felix says:

    Hi!
About switching to Fedora I recommend you to try it and then decide which distro you feel more comfortable with. I think its a matter of personal taste.
About wine, it runs perfectly on FC.

    I Hope this help you.
