Kirk McKusick dcbsdcon 2009 Dr. Marshall a narrative history of BSD Learn the history of the BSD (Berkeley Software Distribution) of one of its key developers, who brings history to life with anecdotes and narrative notes history. The BSD community has begun at the University of Berkeley in the 1970s. You hear about the victories and defeats of the project and its releases during its heyday in the 1980s. The era ends with the Berkeley tumultuous trial, finally decided in favor of Berkeley, which enabled the final version in 1992 4. 4BSD-Lite, an open-source version of BSD. Source: Jason Dixon

M. Warner Losh, an overview of FreeBSD / MIPS asiabsdcon2009: FreeBSD board has been to expand its scope in recent years. Although recently committed to the tree, the history of the FreeBSD / MIPS port of the back over a decade. FreeBSD has been executed on the MIPS architecture from the 3 FreeBSD. time x (1999!). Many efforts over the years have been made to get FreeBSD running on MIPS hardware. These efforts do not start from scratch but reuse of past efforts and code from other systems. Recently, these efforts have met, resulting in support for FreeBSD MIPS 8. 0. The same currents that caused the freebsd / MIPS port to meet after many years have also been pushing the development of other areas important to the embedded world. A number of new features found only in embedded systems have been added to FreeBSD. Hardware vendors are beginning to finance improvement projects for FreeBSD (most of their equipment). improved construction system made it easier to deploy in smaller footprints FreeBSD. All these changes have made a FreeBSD platform more viable board.

A robot Microbric Viper is connected to a controller of the speech discrimination easy. It is the reduction of 1 S / W and H / W if the recognition is uneven. Mainly because of the bad end processing Viper RS232 (serial line to a PC will step off camera left). When the robot receives a command that does not understand that it plays a tune when he hears a command, he knows he flashes an LED. You hear the melody 1 or 2 times in this vid, despite the fact that I do not swear at all.
