Recommend More Flash Standalone players in Linux
Now there are many educational videos in the form of SWF spread on the Internet. Quite useful, but how you see them teaching videos under Linux operating system?
In reality, the SWF format videos compiled Flash bytecode files and can not be played on regular video players like MPlayer and VLC Media Player that are otherwise unable to play other flash delivered FLV files. Here comes the topic today: the introduction of three flash SWF players under Linux OS.
first Swfdec
The earliest open-source flash implementation scheme is able to play most of the Flash 7 format videos and appear in almost every release repositories. Both 32 and 64-bit versions are available.
Installation of Fedora 10: su-c ‘yum install swfdec-gnome’
second Gnash
Gnash is a new open-source flash implementation scheme, currently only supports Flash 7 format videos. It is quite active in the last two years of release, there are 32 and 64-bit versions.

third Adobe Flash Standalone Player for Linux
Adobe Flash Standalone Player included in Adobe Flash debugger and can be downloaded from Adobe’s official website. There are only 32-bit version available, but with the best SWF compatibility due to the official version.
Installation of Fedora 10: download and unpack with 7-zip, double click on the generated flash player icon to start. To create SWF play unification under GNOME, right-click a SWF file, select “properties” – “open” – “add”, find and select the extracted flash player, click “ok”. Then check the radio in front to make it standard SWF player, click “close” finally finish the settings.

5th Windows Media Player
Usually Windows Media Player can not play SWF files under the default settings, but if we manually change some settings, theory can play. To be more precise, how I am still testing it and will write another blog about it when it is done.
Summary
After personally testing with several English grammar SWF videos, Gnash can sometimes have asynchronization between video and audio, swfdec doing well, so have Adobe Flash Standalone Player and Moyea SWF to Video Converter Std / Pro.
